Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education (SPED) teaching license
• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification
• Previous experience or strong interest in working in high school settings
• Ability to foster relationships and provide tailored support to teens
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability to manage responsibilities at two locations

Role Responsibilities:

• Serve as a resource teacher for high school students receiving special education services
• Split time between two high school campuses, offering support, guidance, and intervention according to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure student success
• Develop and implement strategies for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Manage documentation and IEP compliance aligned with school and district standards
• Track student progress, provide regular updates, and participate in team meetings
