Import/Export Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Import/Export Clerk to support customers with freight quotes, shipment coordination, order processing, and sales support. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare freight quotes and assist with pricing based on customer requirements
• Communicate with customers regarding rates, shipment details, schedules, and service options
• Process orders and shipment requests accurately
• Coordinate import and export shipments, including ocean, air, and ground freight as applicable
• Coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure efficient shipment handling
• Track shipments and provide customers with status updates and documentation
• Follow up on quotes, customer inquiries, and pending shipments
• Maintain accurate customer, shipment, and pricing information
• Assist with import/export documentation, shipment requirements, and coordination with customs or other service providers
• Assist with customer service, sales follow-up, and general administrative tasks

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, inside sales, or customer service
• Experience with freight quoting, import/export shipping, or shipment coordination is preferred
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with TMS, ERP, or CRM systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
