RN Educator - Medical Surgical

RN Educator – Medical Surgical, Providence Portland Medical Center Full‑time position, 36 hours per week. Monday‑Friday day shift, primarily serving medical surgical areas. This is not a remote position. Hiring bonus: $8,000 and relocation aid is offered for eligible external hires. The Clinical Nurse Educator is accountable for education that supports the provision and quality of nursing services at the facility level, in support of Providence Health & Services System and regional goals. Responsibilities include strategically planning education programs to ensure optimal and efficient patient care, staff and patient satisfaction, and cooperation with other departments and professional groups. The role promotes evidence‑based practice, manages productivity targets within changing patient volumes and acuity, and supports organizational and system goals. The Educator models professional nursing standards and promotes a team‑based approach. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Master’s Degree in Nursing or Education (or completion of master’s within 3 years of hire for PL522). Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License. Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. 6 years nursing experience with progressive leadership roles. Preferred Qualifications 5 years pediatric experience (acute or ICU).
