CNC / Manual Machinist

We are a long‑established heavy industrial manufacturing and machining operation supporting industries such as mining, energy, wood products, marine, and steel production. Our team specializes in precision fabrication, machining, and large‑scale repair work that keeps critical infrastructure running across the region. We are looking for a skilled machinist who takes pride in producing high‑quality, accurate work.

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced CNC/Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in both CNC and manual machining who can work independently, maintain high standards, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment.

• Perform machining tasks safely and efficiently in an industrial shop environment. Processes include turning , milling , drilling , reaming , boring , slotting , grinding , and tapping .

• Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal mills and lathes.

• Load and run CNC programs while ensuring accuracy and machine efficiency.

• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and inspection results.

• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.

• Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE.

• Safely rig, move, and flip heavy parts using overhead cranes.

• Monitor and maintain shop tooling.

• Read and interpret blueprints at an advanced level.

• Inspect and report dimensional features using scales, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, indicators, and other inspection equipment.

• Positive attitude, reliable attendance, and ability to contribute to a safety‑focused, efficient work culture.

• Knowledge of rigging and safe use of overhead cranes.

• Minimum 10 years of combined CNC and manual machining experience.

• Advanced understanding of blueprints, manufacturing processes, and GD&T .

• Advanced understanding of metrology and inspection tools.

• Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
