Job Summary Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for the Fabrication Shop. In this position you will be responsible assisting the Plant Manager in overseeing all aspects of the plant's operations, including production, maintenance, and safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Work with Engineering teams to schedule work for the shop Oversee 3 shift supervisors and report directly to the Shop Manager Delegate work to each shift within the Fabrication Shop alongside the Shop Manager Ensure trucks are loaded and ready to depart on time Coordinate with Superintendents for job assignments Communicate with field employees across job sites Train all new employees at this brand‑new location Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience in a Plant Manager role in the fabrication industry is preferred Strong organizational and prioritization skills Willingness to work 6 days a week Strong work ethic and commitment to customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with good time‑management abilities Professional, positive, and respectful attitude toward co‑workers, supervisors, customers, and vendors Knowledge of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office products Regular, reliable attendance, including ability to work extended hours and weekends as required Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
