Job Description Provide departmental leadership and management for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and applicable industry best practices. Develop and manage the environmental department budget and prepare detailed cost‑benefit analyses for significant environmental initiatives and capital projects. Oversee and support the professional development, performance management, and succession planning for Environmental Department staff. Collaborate closely with senior management to integrate environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives into overall plant operations and business objectives. Serve as the primary liaison between the Environmental Department and other facility departments to promote effective communication, compliance, and environmental stewardship. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Strong management and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high‑performing teams, while effectively organizing, prioritizing, evaluating work, and supervising professional and technical staff. Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline required; Master's Degree preferred. Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal environmental laws, rules, and regulations, including air, water, and waste compliance requirements.
