TRUCK DRIVER

We are employee focused, an equal employment opportunity employer and would love to have you join our team.We currently seek a Class A Driver covering the local and regional area operating 45'-53' reefer trailers.Safely operate a tractor to transport goods from or to customer locations following all local, state, and federal guidelines.Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.Follow appropriate safety and food safety procedures for transporting goods.Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, and global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices.Load or unload trucks or help others with loading or unloading, using special loading-related equipment or other equipment as necessary.Follow special cargo-related procedures, such as checking refrigeration systems for frozen foods.Cultivate well-trained workforce, including support of performance-management, and career-development.Maintain yard security in accordance with company requirements.Work with the transport team to manage yard-based transport requirements and ensure load out rates are in accordance with company requirements.Demonstrate personal responsibility for, and ensure compliance with, all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability (SHECS) policies, procedures, and initiatives within a team.Support and ensure team compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and initiatives.Job Type: Part-time, 30-40 hoursEducationHigh School Degree/ GED RequiredExperience1-year minimum experience operating Class A vehicles; reefer experience preferredMust have a clean MVR and provide an MVR upon requestMust have excellent communication skills, written and verbalBe able to read written EnglishCapable of following verbal and written instructionsAvailable to work various shiftsThe physical demands described below are representative of those required of an individual performing the essential duties of this position.
