Position Title: Adjunct Faculty, Undergraduate College of Business Position Status: Adjunct Rank: Instructor Base Pay: $821.00 per credit hour Position Summary Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. The College of Business and Graduate School of Management at Lewis University seeks to establish a pool of potential undergraduate adjunct instructors on an ongoing basis to serve as dynamic and student centered educators in service of the following academic disciplines Business Administration. Focused on experiential learning and active engagement, adjuncts chosen to teach at Lewis will create a charismatic and professional learning environment for students of diverse learning backgrounds. Adjunct positions at Lewis University are teaching positions and may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Responsibilities Teach course(s) at the main Romeoville campus or online during the weekday or evening Prepare course materials, syllabus (AI) and update Blackboard course shells (LMS platform) Participate in required trainings and certifications Provide support and guidance to students Cooperate with department chairs or other program faculty to ensure quality and consistency across the program Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in a business discipline is required (e.g., MBA, MS in Management, MS in Human Resource Management, MS in Organizational Leadership, MS in Organizational Behavior, etc.) Possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills All hired adjunct faculty must successfully complete the Lewis University Online Teaching Certification Program Preferred Qualifications Five or more years in mid to senior management position with demonstrated mastery of the subject matter discipline Prior teaching or training experience Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a business specific discipline Work Hours Part-time; as needed basis Posting Information Posting Number: F00328 Posting Date: [not provided] Closing Date: Open Until Filled Required Documents Resume Optional Documents Cover Letter Location Main Campus One University Parkway Romeoville, IL 60446-2200
