Details Work in an 8-bed Critical Care-Cardiovascular ICU unit Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 Patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post complex PCI interventions Performs post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure care including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements Uses Edwards Monitoring, GE Monitoring, and SWAN Ganz catheters Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA required) NIH Stroke Scale certification required Minimum 2 years of experience required Background in Critical Care/Cardiac Critical Care required Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required Must have a US Social Security Number and US home address Additional Information Provide post-surgical recovery care for complex cardiac and vascular surgical patients Radius rule applies, which may affect pay rate eligibility for candidates living locally Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on facility radius rule Only one submission allowed per candidate system-wide to Ascension positions American Traveler Job ID P-755604.
