A Few Words From the Owner

My name is Nick Buric. My father and I are co-owners of Buric Heating and Air Conditioning, and for the last 10 years we've been building a foundation, and it's finally where we want it. A loyal customer base. A reputation in the neighborhoods we serve that we're proud of. A 5-star Google rating. And a brand that people in this area actually know and trust when the van pulls up.

We've spent that same time building the job itself. When service technicians tell us what they're looking for most in a company, we've worked to make sure those things are actually part of what it's like to work here, not just words in an ad. That goes for every position we hire for. We put real time and effort into making this a good place to work.

We've also built the systems and processes behind the scenes that most companies our size don't have. That's the part nobody sees, and it's the part that decides whether your day runs smoothly or falls apart at 3 p.m.

Also, on a side note, since we are often asked, I would like to say up front that we do not have any intention of selling to private equity anytime in the foreseeable future. We believe that in the long term the smaller, family-owned companies will come out on top.  If you've watched a good shop in this area get bought out and turned into a number on somebody's spreadsheet, you already know why that matters.

Now we’re ready for the next level.

The plan is to grow 3x over the next three years. What the plan is not is to grow so big that this stops feeling like a family business. We're going to hold the company at a size where I still know every technician's name. That balance is the whole point.

Who we're looking for

Experienced technicians who are already performing at a high level where they are now, and want to bring that to a company that will actually appreciate it.

Newer technicians who are hungry to learn, take pride in doing the job right, and want to be part of building something instead of just clocking in somewhere.

Our goal is straightforward: be the best HVAC company in our area for both homeowners and technicians.

Minimum qualifications

• Ability to maintain, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Team-oriented mindset

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Adequate personal tools

Preferred qualifications

• 2+ years of residential HVAC service experience

• EPA Certification

• NATE Certification

The basics

Job type: Full-time

Schedule: 8–10 hour shifts

Work location: Multiple locations (no remote work)
