Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, and restorative procedures, providing four-handed dentistry support to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper technique while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety protocols Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation and dental records Conduct vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care, especially for pediatric patients or those with special needs Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care instructions, and treatment plans while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient management software use Follow all clinical confidentiality policies while adhering to healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including dental instrument processing and aseptic techniques Experience Proven 5 years of experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice Hands-on experience with dental x-ray technology, oral surgery assistance, endodontic procedures, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly preferred Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, record keeping, and patient management Strong understanding of infection control protocols including sterilization procedures, dental sterilization equipment operation, and healthcare infection prevention practices Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining clinical hygiene standards Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Join us in delivering exceptional dental care by combining your technical skills with your passion for patient well-being.
