Locum tenens: Wound Care APP Opportunity in Southwest Oregon

A reputable client in southwest Oregon with an opportunity for a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.

Target Start Date: 4/1/2024

Target End Date: 8/31/2024

Opportunity Highlights:

• Setting: Outpatient only
• Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8a-5p with an hour for lunch
• No call
• Daily Census: 20 patients
• Required Procedures: Surgical debridement; wounds will include burns, pressure injuries, arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, surgical wounds, and more
• EMR: Epic
• Wound care experience required, certification preferred
• Paid travel & expenses

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• One year of work experience as Wound Care Nurse Practitioner
• One year of Epic experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Requirements:
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
