This role partners closely with Sales, Business Development, Corporate Development, Real Estate, Design & Construction, Managing Directors, Operations and executive leadership to shape pricing, capacity, investment decisions, and growth strategy. The role requires deep market knowledge, strong commercial judgment, and accountability for performance against business cases. ResponsibilitiesMetro & Commercial StrategyOwn and execute metro-level commercial strategy in partnership with crossfunctional leadersApply deep market and competitive intelligence to set pricing thresholds, target vertical mix, and guide capacity utilizationIdentify and support anchor customer strategies for new data centers and expansion phases to optimize margins and returnsServe as the subject-matter expert for assigned metros during annual and longrange strategic planningFunction as Finance Business Partner for country Managing DirectorsFinancial Planning & Business Case OwnershipDefine and own revenue assumptions for business cases, including pricing, fill rates, density, churn, product mix, and interconnection attachLead bottom-up colocation fill rate forecasts covering a five-year horizon informed by pipeline trends, customer insights, and market dynamicsExecute against approved business cases and maintain accountability for performance versus planReview prior business cases (AvBC), assess forecast accuracy, and develop recovery plans and lessons learnedSales & Deal FacilitationPartner with Sales, Commercial Solutions, and executive leadership to ensure the right deal is sold in the right data centerReview, recommend, and approve large or strategic customer opportunities that materially impact business case performanceEvaluate and prioritize commercial and contractual terms for customer opportunities above certain KW size thresholdsCapacity Planning & Asset ManagementSupport expansion, M&A, and real estate investment decisions through detailed financial analysis and executive presentationsEngage with senior executives on expansion timing, demand supportability, and capital allocationDevelop asset optimization strategies including expansion, reconfiguration, contraction, disposition, and site exitsPrioritize investment across existing metros and potential new geographic expansionsSupport regional capacity strategies and capex forecastingContribute to site-level performance assessments, closure/divestment roadmaps, and migration planningMaintain near- and long-term capacity and inventory roadmapsMarket Intelligence & Demand GenerationMonitor market share and recommend actions to improve competitive positioningBuild relationships with brokers, agents, and key customers to gather demand insights and improve market visibilityPartner with Market Intelligence to synthesize competitive research and identify trends requiring strategic actionLeadership & Special ProjectsLead cross-functional initiatives to improve commercial finance processes, governance, and metricsSupport ad hoc financial analysis for Corporate Development, Business Development, and M&A initiativesDevelop working knowledge of data center infrastructure to inform customer prioritization in constrained environmentsQualificationsBachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred10+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Corporate Development, Product Management, or Business DevelopmentStrong preference for data center or infrastructure-based business experienceOccasional travel required (~6 trips year year)The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:United States - Ashburn Office AEO : 200,000 - 300,000 USD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs.
