26008157 Registered Echo Sonographer – Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: 1300 West Terrell Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours Required: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, rotating 8-hour shifts Hours may vary beginning as early as 7:00am and ending as late as 6:00pm Call and weekends required on a rotational basis Travel Required: 50% to surrounding hospitals & clinics (mileage reimbursement provided) Heart & Vascular Specialists Department Highlights Strong teamwork and collaboration Compassion and empathy to our patients and the Team Join an innovative team working towards making healthcare more accessible, integrated, and reliable Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) Associate Degree Related field (preferred) RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Upon Hire (required) or RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire (required) BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support maintained every 2 years and 90 Days Upon Hire (required) Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases Excellent communication skills Good computer skills Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Echo Sonographer Process Will produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians. Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. May perform therapeutic procedures. Enters patient information into computer database to record information on video cassette and strip printout of test. Reviews test results with interpreting physician. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram. Performs other duties as assigned.
