CCLS Houston is a professional language training center serving the Houston community for nearly two decades and is part of an international language education organization with more than 65 years of international experience. CCLS Houston is ACCET-accredited, reflecting our commitment to established standards of educational quality, student services, and institutional effectiveness.

We are seeking highly qualified Spanish Language Instructors to join our team of language-training professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about teaching Spanish to adults and interested in developing expertise in the CCLS Methodology within an ACCET-accredited educational institution .

Position

Spanish Language Instructor – Part-Time

• Location: Houston, TX – Galleria/Memorial area
• Work setting: In person
• Employment: Part-time / Contract
• Hours: Approximately 4–12 hours per week, depending on enrollment and scheduling needs
• Schedule: Monday–Saturday, mornings and/or evenings
• Compensation: $28.50–$32.00 per teaching hour , depending on qualifications, type of class, and teaching experience
• Certification incentive: $250 CCLS Methodology Certification Bonus upon successfully completing the required certification process
• Professional development: CCLS Methodology training and certification provided to selected candidates

About the Role

Our instructors work with adult students from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. The successful candidate will be able to create an engaging, structured, and communicative learning environment while following the CCLS Methodology and curriculum.

The instructor must have a strong command of Spanish grammar and language structure , excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt instruction to students' individual needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to adult students in an in-person classroom environment.
• Follow the CCLS Methodology, curriculum, and instructional standards.
• Prepare and deliver effective, engaging lessons.
• Assess students' language needs, objectives, and progress.
• Provide appropriate feedback and support to students.
• Maintain effective classroom management.
• Adapt instructional techniques to different learning styles and proficiency levels.
• Incorporate appropriate technology and instructional resources.
• Maintain a professional and culturally sensitive classroom environment.
• Participate in required training, observations, assessments, and the CCLS Methodology certification process.
• Collaborate with the academic team to maintain consistent instructional quality.
• Support CCLS Houston's commitment to maintaining high standards of instruction and student services as an ACCET-accredited institution .

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish.
• Advanced knowledge of Spanish grammar and language structure.
• Demonstrated experience teaching to adults .
• 2+ years of teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to evaluate students' needs and learning objectives.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
• Ability to adapt to different teaching methodologies and instructional techniques.
• Comfortable using technology and digital instructional systems.
• Availability to teach in person .
• Flexible availability Monday through Saturday, including mornings and/or evenings.
• Ability to successfully complete the CCLS instructor selection process, including a teaching demonstration and language assessment .

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Spanish, Education, Linguistics, Foreign Languages, or a related field preferred.
• Candidates must provide documentation/transcripts showing their highest degree earned.

CCLS Methodology Training & Certification

Selected candidates will participate in the CCLS Methodology training and certification process before beginning independent instruction.

The training process is designed to prepare instructors to use the CCLS instructional methodology and may include:

• Online methodology training
• In-person, hands-on training
• Classroom observation
• Teaching practice
• Lesson planning
• Teaching demonstration and evaluation

$250 Certification Bonus

A $250 CCLS Methodology Certification Bonus will be awarded to an instructor who successfully completes all required components of the CCLS Methodology Certification process and is officially approved by CCLS Houston as a certified instructor.

The bonus is earned only upon successful completion of the certification process and is not paid for participation in or attendance at training alone.

Once certification is officially confirmed, the $250 bonus will be included in the instructor's next regular payroll cycle .

Successful candidates must complete the required training and certification process before teaching independently.
