Registered Nurse New Graduate Med Surg and Intensive Care Unit

Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process through technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence‑based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members. We offer up to a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for this position. Role Overview The Med Surg/ICU hybrid role is an acuity‑adaptable position designed to support a gradual transition into the ICU. Team members maintain Med Surg as their home unit while receiving additional training and scheduled ICU shifts to build critical care experience. Scope of Work Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans. Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Uses resources as needed. Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need. May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Additional qualifications: BSN completion within four years from hire date unless the RN has at least fifteen years of proven continuous experience in an acute‑care setting; extensions may apply for legally protected leave. Required Qualifications Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Certification as appropriate for unit or service. Previous experience as a Registered Nurse. Additional Requirements Regular attendance on site during scheduled business hours or shifts. Ability to work nights and/or weekends. Manual dexterity, ability to lift and transfer patients, operate monitors, and frequent computer use. Location Holy Rosary Hospital – Miles City, Montana Hours & Compensation 36 hours per week; hourly rate $34.62 – $52.51, dependent upon experience.
