This position will build and support the data pipelines and models that power the company's analytics, reporting, and the AI agents being embedded in our business processes. If you want an exciting career where you use your previous expertise and can develop and grow your career even further, then this is the opportunity for you.Responsibilities• Utilize skills in data, AI, and development areas including data warehousing, business intelligence, databases, and AI agents (Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure, Python);• Build and maintain data pipelines using Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) tools (dbt, Python, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory);• Develop and support AI-enabled solutions, including AI agent and LLM integrations and the data foundations behind them;• Collect, analyze, and document user requirements;• Participate in design and code reviews and apply enterprise data standards and best practices;• Develop solutions by following the lifecycle process, which includes requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance;• Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines for reliability, data quality, and performance;• Participate in the software validation process through development, review, and/or execution of test plan/cases/scripts;• Use AI coding assistants and agentic development tools as part of daily engineering work;• Communicate with team members regarding projects, development, tools, and procedures; and• Provide end-user support including setup, installation, and maintenance for applications released.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field;• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field;• Knowledge of developing dimensional data models and awareness of the advantages and limitations of star schema and snowflake schema designs;• Solid ETL/ELT development and reporting knowledge based on an understanding of business processes and measures;• Experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse and dbt transformations is preferred;• Working proficiency in SQL and Python;• Experience with version control (Git) and familiarity with CI/CD;• Experience consuming REST APIs;• Exposure to building with AI — LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or AI-assisted development tools — is preferred;• Knowledge of C# and Microsoft Fabric is a bonus; and• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.Medpace OverviewMedpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO) providing phase l-lV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries.
