GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNED DUTIES \n
\nThis physician provides clinical and surgical evaluation and treatment of orthopedic \n
\npatients along with complex orthopedic surgeries.\n
\n
FUNCTIONS OR SCOPES OF PRACTICE \n
\nPrimarily responsible for providing Orthopedic care to veterans both clinically and \n
\nsurgically. Responsible for resident supervision per VA guidelines. Responsible for \n
\nstaffing Orthopedic clinics. Attendance at staff meetings and participation on \n
\ncommittees as assigned. Responsible for performing surgical procedures pertaining \n
\nto Orthopedics. Responsible for timely medical records, including computer \n
\norder/entry. Responsible for inpatient and outpatient Orthopedic services. Supports \n
\nSection Chief, Chief, Surgical Service and TVHS in obtaining Performance \n
\nMeasures. Responsible for completing all VA mandatory and assigned educational \n
\ntrainings.\n
