Corporate Counsel, Americas

Position Overview The Corporate Counsel - Americas, based in Columbus, Ohio, will provide legal advice and support to the Americas legal team, reporting to the General Counsel. Responsibilities Draft and negotiate commercial and corporate agreements Offer legal counsel on digitalization, employment, and trade compliance issues Deliver training on legal topics to colleagues and internal clients Support senior attorneys with litigation, acquisitions, compliance, intellectual property, and public company matters Proactively assess legal risks and contribute to key team projects and initiatives Provide practical legal advice to assist the organization in achieving its commercial goals while minimizing risks and enhancing compliance Develop and conduct legal training sessions for both colleagues and internal clients on a wide variety of legal‑related topics Perform legal research and draft memoranda summarizing and applying the law on complex and new legal issues Interface with internal and external customers in all aspects of contract negotiation Represent the company professionally at all times during legal negotiations Support the Chief Legal Officer and Head of Compliance on public company filings and related matters Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to management and other internal and external stakeholders Support and independently coordinate cross‑divisional and cross‑unit legal projects Manage disputes and litigation, including employment law matters, with guidance from senior attorneys Interpret and provide guidance to clients to enable them to follow company policies and internal procedures #J-18808-Ljbffr Mettler Toledo AG
