Job Location: Hahnville, Louisiana
Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (First Shift)

Position Overview:

Electrician (Electric Shop) – Class A

Has sufficient experience and knowledge to excel at all phases of general and maritime-based electrical work. Must be able to perform most electrical tasks with minimal to no supervision. Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical light and power systems and equipment. Works from blueprints and sketches and requires a thorough understanding of electrical energy principles and machinery. Duties include installing light and power lines, outlets, and electrical equipment such as public-address systems, cranes, motors, and fixtures. Must have strong knowledge of safety devices, safety locks, and safety practices. May direct the work of lower-classified electricians.

Class B Electrician

Has sufficient experience to install and repair simple electrical equipment, fixtures, and lighting systems. Performs maintenance tasks such as cleaning welding machines with air hoses, replacing fuses, and repairing welding lines and motors. Must understand safety devices and practices. May receive guidance from Class A Electricians when working on more complex tasks.

Class C Electrician

Entry-to-intermediate level electrician who is developing skills in electrical applications and job-site practices. Performs basic electrical tasks under close supervision and assists Class A and Class B Electricians as needed. Works toward increasing independence and technical knowledge while following strict safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical diagrams
• Perform troubleshooting and electrical diagnostics
• Install wiring, conduit, outlets, fixtures, motors, and related equipment
• Maintain compliance with all electrical safety procedures and regulations
• Support marine and industrial electrical operations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
• Must be 18 years or older
• Previous electrical experience required (level determined by Class A, B, or C)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices
• Experience in industrial or maritime electrical work preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation required
• Strong commitment to safety, attendance, and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently or under supervision depending on classification
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform demanding tasks throughout the shift
