Clinical Nurse II D4N Medical Cardiology 36hrs/week Nights

Department/Unit: Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist - D4N Work Shift: Night (United States of America) Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61 The Registered Professional Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements, and manages the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care, focusing on progress toward discharge, including during transitions within the acute care stay. The nurse is responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring competent, compassionate care for customers including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. Hourly Range: $34.65 - $35.69 Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatment as required by policy and regulations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions. Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care. Uses sound nursing judgment in care management decisions. Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administers medications as ordered. Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care. Guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards. Minimum Requirements: Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree). Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in BLS and ACLS. Previous experience as PCA or nursing assistant preferred. Commitment to continuing education to improve performance. Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving tools. The Medical Cardiology unit is a 29-bed unit with private, semi-private, and four-bedroom patient rooms. Patients are received from various departments when inpatient admission is necessary. The patient population includes adults from 18 to over 100 years old with cardiac and medical diagnoses, requiring telemetry monitoring after cardiac procedures.
