ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to support our Design Team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in construction finance and project operations. The Finance Associate will assist with project budgeting, invoice processing, contract administration, and financial reporting while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and accounting teams.Experience with Deltek is highly preferred, preferably within the construction, engineering, or professional services industry.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Design Team with project financial tracking and budget managementProcess consultant invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports accurately and timelyMaintain project financial records and assist with monthly reconciliationsEnter and manage project data within DeltekAssist with project setup, labor tracking, and cost codingPrepare financial reports, forecasts, and budget updates for project leadershipCoordinate with Accounting and Project Management teams to ensure billing accuracyMonitor project expenditures and identify budget variancesSupport contract administration and document management processesEnsure compliance with company policies and project financial proceduresAssist with ad hoc financial analysis and administrative tasks as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred1–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or project coordinationExperience using Deltek software requiredExperience in construction, architecture, engineering, or general contracting industry preferredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentEagerness to learn and grow within the construction finance fieldPreferred SkillsUnderstanding of project-based accounting principlesFamiliarity with budgeting and cost tracking processesAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsProblem-solving mindset with strong analytical abilitiesWorking ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing.
