Oral Surgery Assistant

Benefits: 401(k) Employee discounts Paid time off About the Role: Steven D Darmstadt DDS Inc is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team in Anaheim, CA! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced oral surgeon in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your expertise truly makes a difference. Responsibilities: Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and biopsies Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory Take and process dental X-rays, including panoramic and periapical imaging Monitor and support patients during pre-op, procedure, and post-op recovery Document patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately Educate patients on post-operative care and answer follow-up questions Manage surgical supply inventory and ensure proper equipment maintenance Requirements: Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred Dental Assistant certification or RDA license preferred in California X-ray certification (Radiation Safety) required Familiarity with oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire Strong chairside manner with a compassionate, patient-centered approach Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting About Us: Steven D Darmstadt DDS Inc is a trusted oral surgery practice serving the Anaheim, CA community with a commitment to exceptional patient care and clinical excellence.
