CTL Lab Manager

Job Description The Bone & Marrow Transplant Lab is seeking to hire a CTL Lab Manager. The CTL Lab Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of the FACT-accredited stem cell processing (SCP) portion of the cellular therapy laboratory (CTL), liaising between the CTL and the clinical stem cell transplantation division, the division of oncology, and other clinical teams. This position will manage a group of approximately five staff. The CTL Lab Manager will oversee and perform clinical stem cell processing such as cryopreservation, T cell receptor alpha/beta and CD19 depletion, and red blood cell depletion. They will also be responsible for managing logistics supporting commercial gene therapies. Other responsibilities include working collaboratively with other leaders within the CTL and other clinical divisions to ensure the safe delivery of clinical products and performance according to the highest quality standards, participating and/or leading in quality improvement initiatives, utilizing resources effectively, onboarding and training of new and existing staff, bringing ideas and concerns to program leadership, and managing the budget effectively. Qualifications Minimum Education : Master’s Degree Biology or a related science. (Required) Minimum Work Experience : 10 years related experience. Plans, conducts and manages research projects within federal and institutional regulations and policies under the direction of the principal investigator. Uses research funds and resources appropriately. Maintains confidentiality of data as required. Meets all annual job-related training and compliance requirements.
