Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care within the operating room environment, supporting surgical procedures across diverse disciplines. Ensure patient safety, assist surgical teams, and maintain compliance with clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Assist surgeons and surgical technologists during operative procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and functioning.
• Document patient care and surgical activities accurately in the EMR system.
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with an active state license.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Obtain and maintain BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in orthopedic, general, and neuro surgery procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
