Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview The Mechanical Design Engineer collaborates with a local team or global engineering team on product design that satisfies customer specifications. This process includes design, product validation, completing documentation, and executing launch items for production. The engineer completes all related drawings, documentation, and releases in internal systems. Responsibilities Assists with static, dynamic design, and analysis of electro‑mechanical components. Performs design verification on original or derivative designs by collecting empirical data through experimental methods. Manipulates and synthesizes the data to make design recommendations based on the testing. Participates in feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Works closely with support personnel (technicians and drafting teams) in the preparation of detailed technology selection, conceptual design, detailed design, and prototyping. Coordinates failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations. Possesses a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Qualifications University degree required (e.g., Bachelors) or equivalent relevant work experience. Team player able to work in a fast‑paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands. Strong communication skills—oral, written, and presentation. Strong organization, planning, and time‑management skills to achieve results. Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and external customers. 2–4 years experience in aerospace in a Design Engineer or Project Engineer role is a plus. Eligibility for ITAR/EAR: This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non‑US persons, as defined in ITAR and EAR, may not be eligible to obtain authorization. Base Salary Range: $70,304.00 – $104,880.00.
