EP Tech I is primarily responsible for employing imaging techniques, operation of other related equipment and assisting cardiologist during procedure. -Acts as first assistant during diagnostic EP studies, therapeutic ablation procedures, and surgical device implantations to assure completeness of case. -Reviews the pre-procedural patient assessment to obtain adequate information, communicate pertinent data to MD and ensure appropriate imaging and patient safety.-Assist in the education process of new employees, mentors students and other healthcare professionals observing in the EP lab. -Assist in the development of performance improvement activities in the EP lab, to include ideas, data collection, data analysis and implementing change to ensure best practice in the EP lab. Assist to maintain accurate implantable device database.-Performs other duties as assigned. Special Equipment : -Maintains a thorough knowledge in the use of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and products for procedures to ensure its accuracy and safety.-Operates and maintains all radiographic, digital, processing and viewing equipment associated with the production of high quality images. Assist in the operation of mapping system and ablation generator.
