Data Analytics Intern

Key Responsibilities Data Extraction & Management Extract, consolidate, and validate data from multiple systems across the manufacturing environment (SAP, MES, manual logs, and other sources) Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability for operational decision‑making Identify gaps in data collection and partner with teams to improve data capture processes Support development of standardized data structures for reporting and analytics Dashboard Development & Visualization Design, build, and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators, including: Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Throughput and production output Scrap and yield performance Downtime and equipment utilization Create clear, actionable visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel Continuously improve dashboards to support real‑time decision making on the production floor Manufacturing Performance & Analytics Analyze production, quality, and maintenance data to identify trends and inefficiencies Support root cause analysis efforts with data tied to downtime, scrap, and performance losses Partner with Operations and Engineering to quantify performance gaps and track improvements Assist in building leading indicators or basic predictive models for equipment performance Cross-Functional Collaboration Work directly with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams Translate operational challenges into data‑driven insights and recommendations Support alignment between data, planning, and execution Participate in daily and weekly operational reviews to provide visibility into performance Support development of data‑driven strategies to improve plant performance Assist initiatives focused on improving: Production flow Identify opportunities to automate reporting and reduce manual processes Communication & Reporting Present findings, trends, and recommendations in a clear and concise way Build reports that are easy to interpret and drive action Support leadership with data insights for operational and strategic decisions Qualifications and Experience Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to work through large datasets Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau Proficiency in Excel required; Python, R, or SQL preferred Understanding of data cleaning, structuring, and basic statistical analysis Strong communication skills and ability to explain insights clearly Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment Exposure to manufacturing or production systems is a plus We are committed to equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by national, federal, state or local law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
