Senior Medical Science Liaison, Rheumatology - Capitol Region

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for Rheumatology to serve as a field-based scientific expert across the Capitol Region. The role involves developing strategic relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders, delivering evidence-based scientific information, and supporting investigator-initiated studies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute scientific engagement plans aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and medical objectives
- Conduct high-quality scientific exchanges with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers to identify trends and unmet needs
- Identify and cultivate professional relationships with community and academic healthcare providers in territory
- Deliver tailored scientific data and education addressing provider-identified learning gaps
- Collect and submit actionable insights to inform organizational medical strategy and cross-functional planning
Requirements
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree with relevant therapeutic area expertise
- Proven experience in medical science liaison or similar field-based scientific role
- Strong scientific communication skills with ability to translate complex clinical data
- Knowledge of rheumatology disease state and treatment landscape
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare providers and thought leaders
- Experience with territory-level strategic planning and medical engagement
