Food Service Assistant

Under supervision, to prepare and serve foods in a school cafeteria; serve food in a satellite kitchen; and to perform related work as required.

Working-level experience performing routine food service work. Knowledge of basic arithmetic, weights and measures; basic principles and methods of quantity food serving and storage; basic kitchen utensils and equipment; sanitation and personal hygiene. Ability to plan and complete work in accordance with schedules; understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Must successfully pass the Garvey School District Food Services Assistant written test. Must successfully pass the application-screening phase. Completion of a criminal records check will be required prior to beginning work.

Applicants who pass the application screening process will be notified and scheduled for a written test.
