GENERAL FUNCTION:

Evaluate, design, build, and operate AI-enabled capabilities embedded directly into our platform ecosystem. This role focuses on integrating AI into core infrastructure, automation, and operational workflows to drive measurable efficiency, reliability, and scale.

In the majority of situations, the incumbent will be the application owner responsible for third party, purchased software aligned with a LOB. Will have responsibility to work with vendor to understand upcoming changes, how the software fits into the technology roadmap and design plans to ensure business continuity and effectiveness. Understands the bank's systems, how they are configured, how we need to reconfigure to meet the changes. If aligned to an agile squad may work closely with the product owner to ensure user stories are defined appropriately to develop effective technology solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Requirements

• Strong engineering background (platform, infrastructure, or software engineering)

• ServiceNow + Ansible (AAP) + BigFix + Terraform + Jenkins + Git + Dynatrace + OpenTelemetry (on‑prem), with API-driven integrations and Python/Bash scripting layered on top.

• Proven experience building and operating production-grade solutions (not prototypes)

• Experience integrating automation and AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise platforms and workflows

• Hands-on with APIs, orchestration frameworks, and automation pipelines

• Ability to translate operational problems into scalable, automated solutions

• Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance in regulated environments

• Experience integrating with platforms such as ServiceNow, observability tools, and CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to drive adoption and embed solutions into standard operating workflows

Key Responsibilities

• Build and integrate automation capabilities across platforms (incident response, self-service, engineering workflows)

• Apply AI selectively to enhance automation outcomes (decision support, pattern recognition, workflow optimization)

• Operate and continuously improve services in production environments Standardize patterns for automation and AI integration (APIs, orchestration, guardrails)

• Partner with engineering and operations teams to identify and prioritize high-value use cases

• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and reliability expectations

• Deliver measurable outcomes (reduced manual effort, faster resolution times, improved platform performance)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Six+ years of engineering or other IT work experience relevant to the position.

• Strong engineering background (platform engineering, infrastructure, or software engineering)

• Proven experience building and operating production-grade solutions (not prototypes)

• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise platforms and workflows

• Experience with APIs, orchestration frameworks, and automation pipelines

• Ability to translate operational problems into scalable, AI-enabled solutions

• Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance requirements in regulated environments

• Experience integrating with platforms such as ServiceNow, monitoring/observability tools, CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to drive adoption across teams and embed solutions into standard workflows

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Willingness to work in a highly-collaborative environment
