The primary function of the Pricing Specialist is to ensure that all product costing and pricing is accurate, current, and maintained in Winar Connection’s system in a timely and organized manner. This position plays an important role in supporting Winar’s Sales, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams by ensuring product costs and customer pricing accurately reflect current vendor costs, market conditions, and company pricing policies.

The Pricing Specialist will work closely with Winar’s Supply Chain Manager, Buyers, Sales Representatives, Business Managers, and vendors to research costs, resolve pricing discrepancies, maintain cost and price books, and support accurate and competitive customer pricing.

This is a fast-paced position that requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, respond quickly to requests, and maintain a high level of accuracy while working with a large volume of product and pricing information.

Essential Tasks of the Position

• Review and analyze all vendor/principal cost increases and determine the appropriate impact on Winar’s costing and pricing.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain current pricing, cost information, product updates, and clarification on pricing changes.
• Participate in vendor meetings and discussions as needed to stay informed of pricing changes, market conditions, product offerings, and supplier initiatives.
• Support the preparation and pricing of customer bids and quotes , ensuring all material, labor, vendor, and product costs are accurate and current.
• Review and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure product components, quantities, and associated costs are accurate and reflect current Winar standards and vendor pricing.
• Seek clarification from Business Managers, Buyers, or the Supply Chain Manager regarding pricing inconsistencies or unusual cost changes.
• Communicate with the Business Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing, and Sales teams to determine the appropriate path forward on pricing issues.
• Update Purchase Price Files and vendor cost information in Winar’s system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Determine appropriate standard cost effective dates and update standard costs in the system.
• Ensure accurate costing of new products and items added to Winar’s system.
• Respond promptly to product cost and pricing requests.
• Research, verify, and update standard costs based on requests from Purchasing, Supply Chain, and other internal departments.
• Research historical pricing, vendor information, and product costs to assist with pricing decisions and resolve discrepancies.
• Work closely with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, and ensure Winar has the most current cost information available.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other computer systems to analyze, maintain, and communicate pricing and cost information. (Must have MIcrosoft Excel)
• Work effectively with team members across Purchasing, Sales, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Operations.
• Provide support to other team members and departments when needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Education

• Bachelor Degree preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.

Salary. $40- $50k DOE
