Unit Specifics:

Number of Beds: 25 bed

Patient Ratios: 2:1

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): No LNAs or PCTs. Around the clock mid-levels, trauma surgeons and respiratory therapist. PT/OT available during day shift

Type of equipment: GE Monitors, Hamilton Bipaps and Hiflows. Puritan ventilator, Hemospheres.

Documentation system: Meditech Expanse

Scheduling requirements: 12 shifts month (3 shifts a week). 4 weekend shifts month. Department leadership completes the schedule around the RTO

Floating policy: Floating will be on a rotation basis with travelers floating first

Patient Experience requirements: MyCare board are updated each shift during bedside shift report. Bedside shift report is completed at each change of shift

Hiring profile Requested Skill Set:

Must have:

Strong Telemetry Skills

Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications

Chest tube experience

Past ICU experience

Preferred or nice to have:

candidates with these skills will be considered first.

Open Heart experience

Temporary pacing

Swan-Ganz Catheter experience

Procedures performed on unit:

Intubation

Central line and arterial line placement

Chest tube placement

Certifications Required:

ACLS

BLS

Dress Code: (Required uniform) Scrubs (color doesn’t matter)
