Role Description The Mitigation Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Riverside, CA. This role is responsible for assessing property damage, implementing mitigation plans, and coordinating restoration activities to prevent further loss. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, documenting damage, recommending hazard mitigation measures, and communicating findings and next steps to clients, team members, and insurance representatives. The Mitigation Specialist will collaborate with field crews, follow safety protocols, maintain accurate records, and ensure that work complies with company standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves responding to emergencies, prioritizing tasks under time-sensitive conditions, and delivering professional, respectful service to all customers. Qualifications Ability to perform mitigation and hazard mitigation activities, including assessing damage and implementing effective restoration and loss-prevention strategies. Strong analytical skills to evaluate site conditions, interpret reports, and make sound recommendations during emergency management and restoration projects. Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with clients, internal teams, and insurance partners, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of emergency management practices, safety procedures, and applicable regulations related to property restoration and environmental hazards. Experience in residential or commercial restoration, construction, or environmental services is highly beneficial. Ability to work on-site, perform physical tasks as needed, and operate relevant tools and equipment safely. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in restoration, environmental services, or emergency management are a plus.
