Job Description
Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in providing cardiopulmonary services to both inpatients and outpatients. This position requires a professional who is registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care, responsible for adhering to protocols set forth by the medical staff and departmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways and manage ventilators.
• Perform insertion of arterial lines and intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analyses.

Qualifications:

• Must have NBRC RRT or CRT certification.
• Must possess an Ohio Respiratory Therapy license.
• Current ACLS & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
• Prior travel experience is a plus.
