Environmental Compliance Specialist
At the full performance level (GS-11) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as an Environmental Compliance specialist for the National Park Service (NPS).
- Enter projects into the NPS Planning, Environment & Public Comment (PEPC) System.
- Review projects for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESP), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Commercial (or Special) Use Authorization (CUA or SUP), Concessions, and other compliance requirements.
- Draft compliance documents and reports including Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), Categorical Exclusions, etc.
