Our Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Shift Leader’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Shift Leaders lead by example, align with 156th & Maple's core values, and set the tone that others will follow. Shift Leaders are responsible for supervising assigned areas for an entire shift. Running shifts effectively Counting drawers Counting change fund at everyday part Managing day to day tasks Running daily contests for lunch and dinner and provide rewards Properly handling CARES calls and customer complaints in the restaurant Managing labor effectively Facilitating daily cleaning tasks Attending and contributing at Team Leader meetings Establishing accountability with Team Members Maintaining a fun work environment Communicating expectations to the team, ranging from Team Members to Directors Maintaining vision alignment with the Operator and leadership team Aiding in coordinating special events for marketing Organizing the teamwith excellenttfollow-throughh Qualifications and Requirements: Smile Create and Maintain Eye Contact Speak Enthusiastically Make Emotional Connections with Guests Reliable transportation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong people skills with a desire to callobarate with all Team Members Strong commitment to superior customer service Ability to lift and carry 25-50lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.
