Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced L3 Cloudera Public Cloud Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Cloudera CDP Public Cloud, CDP On-Prem, and CDP Migration . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating enterprise-scale Cloudera platforms, migrating legacy Cloudera environments to CDP Public Cloud, and supporting highly available data, analytics, and AI workloads.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with CDP Public Cloud, CDH/CDP On-Prem, CDE, CDW, CDF/NiFi, CDL, CAI, Kafka, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, security, observability, and platform automation .

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end operations of Cloudera CDP Public Cloud environments across Dev, Stage, UAT, and Production.
Support multiple Cloudera clusters and environments with strict security, governance, and workload isolation.
Troubleshoot complex platform, infrastructure, networking, and service-level issues.
Lead P1/P2 incident response , root-cause analysis, and resolution.
Perform CDP upgrades, patching, hotfixes, rolling upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Support migration and modernization of legacy CDH/CDP On-Prem environments to CDP Public Cloud .
Operate and troubleshoot CDE, CDW, CDF/NiFi, CDL, CAI, CDV, COD, and Kafka .
Troubleshoot Kubernetes-based workloads including pod failures, resource contention, Spark job failures, and service communication
Support disaster recovery, failover, backup, and recovery validation.
Automate operational activities using Python, Shell, and Terraform .
Work with Cloudera Support and infrastructure teams to resolve critical platform issues.
Mentor L2 engineers and provide technical guidance for complex production issues.
Participate in on-call/24x7 production support as required.

Required Experience

12+ years of experience in Big Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Platform Operations, or Infrastructure roles.
6+ years of hands-on experience with the Cloudera ecosystem (CDH/CDP) .
Strong hands-on experience with Cloudera CDP Public Cloud .
Strong experience with Cloudera CDP On-Prem / CDH .
Proven experience with CDP migration and modernization , including on-premises to cloud migrations.
Experience migrating and onboarding workloads to CDE, CDW, and CAI .
Experience supporting large-scale multi-terabyte/petabyte environments and high-concurrency workloads.

Kubernetes troubleshooting experience.
Experience with AI/ML platform operations and Cloudera AI (CAI) .
Strong scripting and automation skills.
Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
