Job Overview Our Blood Institute is actively seeking qualified candidates for a rewarding position that is responsible for providing a safe and pleasant blood donation experience for donors. WORLD CLASS PAID on-the-job training is offered with no experience required. Earn up to $3,000 in bonuses. Bonus paid at 6 months, 1 year, and 3 years. Additional pay if fluent in Spanish. Location Amarillo, TX Pay Competitive pay based on experience; additional pay for technical school certification, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, etc. Addional pay if fluent in Spanish. $500 bonus after 6 months and $1,000 bonus after 1 year. Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or GED. College classes are a plus. Must have reliable transportation, working telephone, ability to stand for long periods, and lift 40 lbs regularly. Must be on‑time, reliable, good communicator, detail‑oriented, and work well with others. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Primary Responsibilities Perform registration, vitals, medical screening, phlebotomy, heat sealing duties, and record keeping for whole‑blood, autologous, directed, therapeutic, testing services, research projects, etc. Strictly adhere to all standard operating procedures, ensuring all blood products are collected within quality standards set by regulatory agencies, including the FDA. Assist supervisor in verifying and completing daily paperwork. Alert the supervisor of any problems or concerns related to equipment, venipuncture, donor questions/issues or equipment performance. Continually assess donor needs throughout the donation process, including evaluating and treating donor reactions. Educate donors on blood facts such as donation frequency and the need for blood products. All other duties assigned by supervisor.
