The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Spring Lake that are seeking skilled Tool and Die Makers. Key Responsibilities

• Design and build new dies, fixtures, and tooling.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing production tooling and dies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on dies and tooling.
• Operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD models to determine precise specifications.
• Select appropriate materials and methods for tool and die fabrication.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished tools and dies to ensure accuracy and functionality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Completion of a certified Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tool and die making within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Demonstrated expertise in operating manual and CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and material properties
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain dies, molds, and other tooling with high precision

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam)
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery
• Certification in a related field (e.g., machining, metallurgy, welding)
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing techniques
