School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Berwyn, IL

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active LPN/LVN license valid in Illinois
• Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or related setting preferred
• Familiarity with providing care for students with DNR orders
• Strong skills in communication and documentation
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Skills in medication administration and daily health checks

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care for students as outlined in individualized health and emergency plans
• Administer medications and perform treatments according to school protocol
• Monitor and address ongoing medical needs, ensuring safety and dignity, especially for students with DNR status
• Document health events and interventions per regulatory and school guidelines
• Work alongside teachers, therapists, and families to support student care plans
• Participate in training and development updates as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations
