Join our team as an In-House Obstetrician at a leading medical center in Poughkeepsie, NY. This position involves providing crucial obstetric care in a hospital setting, with options for flexible shifts.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: 24-hour Shifts
• Schedule: As needed
• Hours: 7 AM - 7 PM
• Setting: Hospital

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-house labor and delivery coverage, including management of obstetric patients and deliveries (both vaginal and cesarean).
• Perform and assist in obstetric surgeries, including cesarean sections and emergency procedures.
• Serve as first responder for OB-related emergencies, including shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, and fetal distress.
• Collaborate with certified nurse midwives (CNMs), residents, nurses, and attending physicians to ensure coordinated and evidence-based care.
• Evaluate and triage OB patients presenting to Labor & Delivery and coordinate with outpatient providers as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years post licensure experience
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active New York State medical license or eligibility to obtain
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (NRP preferred)
• Strong clinical acumen in hospital obstetric care
• Excellent communication skills
• Collaboration and teamwork skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care
