Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position in California. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a surgical setting, supporting a variety of complex procedures across multiple specialties. Candidates are required to bring their valid California license on the first day of assignment. The position offers a flexible schedule with variable start times and shift hours.

Job Details:

• Location: Santa Rosa, California
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift, with variable start times at 7:00 and 9:00, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Nursing License; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; two years of related OR experience, including previous charge nurse experience required; travel experience preferred; EMR experience with Epic charting system required; must have experience with surgical procedures such as trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex surgical procedures listed in the specialty skill set, including robotic surgery, vascular, neuro, and ortho procedures
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours weekly, with potential to work up to 6-8 shifts in a 6-week period including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; on-call responsibilities shared among staff every 6 weeks
• Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby, with refusal to float possibly leading to termination of assignment; willingness to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) is required; compliance includes submitting two references covering one year and a copy of certifications
