Activities Assistant

Description The Center on Aging and Health is looking for a passionate Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team in Erwin. This part‑time, on‑site position offers a unique opportunity to engage with and support our community, enhancing the lives of our clients through meaningful activities and programs. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating and implementing engaging activities that cater to the needs and interests of our residents. You'll work closely with our staff to ensure that residents are actively involved and participating, promoting their overall well‑being and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist in planning and organizing recreational and therapeutic activities for clients Engage clients in various activities, ensuring participation and enjoyment Support staff in setting up and conducting events and programs Monitor and report on clients' participation and interests Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all clients Collaborate with other team members to enhance activity offerings Help with documentation of activities and client feedback Requirements A genuine interest in working with older adults Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work as part of a team and independently Creative mindset with a passion for fostering community connections Basic knowledge of recreational activities and their benefits for seniors Experience in caregiving or a related field is a plus, but not required High school diploma or equivalent required Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of clients #J-18808-Ljbffr Center on Aging and Health
