Neurology Veterinary TechnicianBluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician.Pay: $20 - $40 / hourThis pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.Tentative Schedule: Typical weekly schedule is a 38-hour 4 day work week with a Saturday rotation schedule. Able work 2 late shifts per week.We strive to provide state-of-the-art services to our patients and clients. We are very proactive in supporting our technician team to advance their careers. We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast-paced team environment.As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will:Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).Induce, monitor and recover ASA level 1 - 3 anesthesia cases.Set up for MRI and CT procedures.Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc. Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core valuesPerform call backs and refill medicationsClient education, gathering histories and communicating that to the ClinicianPerform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.Understand normal vital parametersComfortable with IVC placement and venipunctureOperate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.Restrain patients during consults and during diagnosticsWhy BluePearl?Our passion is pets.
