Assembly and Warehouse Associate (2nd Shift)This role focuses on performing a wide range of assembly and warehouse activities in a clean, temperature-controlled production environment. You will assemble and prepare hose and related products, operate various tools and equipment, and support inventory and shipping processes while being cross-trained across multiple areas of the facility.ResponsibilitiesPerform hose fabrication and assembly using saws, fitting assembly tools, crimpers, and assembly lathes.Operate pressure testers and work in flush booths to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.Use air-powered tools and hand tools to assemble components and prepare finished products for shipment.Prepare assembled products for shipment by packaging, labeling, and staging orders for customers.Operate and use various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as required for daily tasks.Use basic computer-based programs to record data, track work orders, and complete required documentation.Read and interpret product prints and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication.Use measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures to verify product dimensions and tolerances.Record assembly-related data on assembly paperwork and maintain accurate production and inventory records.Perform cycle counting and assist with physical inventory to maintain accurate stock levels.Work and cross-train throughout warehouse and production areas, including hose fabrication, kitting of parts, crimping, solvent flush room, ID center (pulling parts), and cutting hose.Float between different workstations and departments as needed each day to support production and warehouse operations.Perform physical movements including standing, bending, stooping, and twisting throughout the shift.Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED.Ability to consistently lift up to 40 pounds.At least 6 months of labor or manufacturing experience.Experience working in manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environments.Ability to use hand tools and air-powered tools safely and effectively.Ability to read and interpret product prints and blueprints.Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures.Basic computer skills to work with computer-based programs and data entry.Willingness to work 2nd shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with overtime from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. as needed.Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods during the shift.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in hose fabrication or related assembly work.Experience with kitting parts and working in a production or warehouse setting.Familiarity with cycle counting and physical inventory processes.Comfort operating warehouse equipment and working in multiple areas of a facility.Strong attention to detail when measuring, assembling, and recording data.Flexibility to be cross-trained and to move between different tasks and departments as needed.Why Work Here?You will join a stable manufacturing operation with a strong local presence and a well-organized production floor. It is a very clean, well-maintained, and temperature-controlled environment focused on producing parts for the OPM industry. The work involves standing, bending, stooping, and twisting, as well as regularly lifting up to 40 pounds. You will work on 2nd shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with overtime available from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. as needed. You will use a variety of tools and equipment, including saws, crimpers, assembly lathes, pressure testers, air-powered tools, hand tools, measuring devices, and basic computer-based programs, while working across both warehouse and production areas in a structured and safety-conscious setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of HIAWATHA, IA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.35 - $20.35/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
