Budget Analyst

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Riley, Kansas This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Duties Perform routine Budget Analyst functions for one or more funds for Irwin Army Community Hospital. Verify General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) information, consolidate data, and prepare monthly execution charts for the hospital Commander and Deputies. Monitor and review the use of funds throughout the fiscal year using a computer with spreadsheet and database software applications programs. Review estimates submitted by departments for supplies, travel, overtime, and award budgets. Assist in formulating and preparing the annual Brigade, Command Budget Estimate (CBE). Provide routine financial analytical and advisory services for the hospital budget for one or more funds. Determine the propriety and cost effectiveness of funding requests. Requirements Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A Personnel Security Investigation is required. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
