Founding Product & Brand Designer for Creator AI

This is a remote role based in Canada. Candidates must be currently located in Canada and able to work primarily within Canadian time zones. About Tukey AI Tukey AI is the intelligence layer for content creators. We help creators understand why their channel is growing or not, and what to do about it. Our product turns raw channel data into clear, actionable strategy: surfacing the patterns behind growth, diagnosing what is holding a channel back, and guiding decisions that compound over time. We’re early, fast moving, and building at the intersection of AI, creator tools, and product strategy. The people who join now help shape not just what we build, but how we think about building it. The Opportunity This is a founding role, not a typical design hire. You won’t be filling tickets or executing someone else’s vision. You’ll be the designer at Tukey, the person responsible for how the product looks, feels, and works, and for the brand presence that introduces Tukey to the world. That means owning both sides of the design surface: product design (flows, UX, interaction design, design systems) and brand and graphic design (visual identity, marketing site, social creative, launch materials, ad assets). You’ll work directly with the founding team on a short feedback loop, from rough product conversation to polished Figma frame in the same session. Design decisions at Tukey right now are permanent. The visual language you establish, the interaction patterns you define, the brand you build, these will still be visible when the company is at SeriesA and beyond. What You’ll Own Lead end‑to‑end product design for Tukey’s AI‑native platform: from early concepts and user flows through interaction design and polished, production‑ready execution Define and evolve Tukey’s visual identity, brand voice, and scalable design system across product and marketing surfaces Own the marketing site, onboarding experiences, and creator‑facing brand touchpoints from first sketch to shipped Design social content, ad creative, and launch assets that establish Tukey’s presence in the creator economy Collaborate directly with the founders and engineering on a fast, tight loop — sketch, prototype, ship, iterate Bring AI tools into your design workflow to explore and prototype faster, not just as a talking point What We’re Looking For 2–4 years of product or UX design experience, ideally at a startup or in a role where you owned the full design surface with limited direction and no design manager above you A portfolio that demonstrates both product thinking (flows, systems, interaction logic) and visual craft (brand, marketing, polish); range matters more than depth in one track Figma fluency, non‑negotiable Familiarity with motion or 3D tools (Rive, After Effects, Spline, or similar) is a robust plus Experience designing AI‑native, SaaS, or B2B products with strong visual sensibility; this is a baseline, not a bonus Comfort with ambiguity. You can identify the problem, propose the direction, and ship, without waiting to be unblocked Fluency with AI‑assisted design workflows, or similar tools as a genuine part of how you work Strong communication: you can articulate why a design decision is the right one, not just what it looks like Bonus: you’re embedded in the YouTube or creator ecosystem, as a creator, a viewer, or someone who has spent time thinking about how creators work What You’ll Get Real ownership: you’re the design function. Your decisions ship. Direct founder access: daily collaboration with no layers, no slow feedback loops. Founding equity: a meaningful stock option grant, including 0.5% ownership. You’re building this with us, and the upside reflects that. Salary: CAD$55,000–$75,000 commensurate with experience. Early‑stage startup realities, with equity upside that matters.
