Process Mechanical Engineer

Our Houston client is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer to join their team. You will support EPC projects by designing, specifying, procuring, and executing mechanical and pressure-relief systems. This role will partner with the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective project solutions, with a strong emphasis on hydraulic and PSV calculations. This is a long-term contract of 12+ months with great pay, benefits, and PTO. Preferred Experience Oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, or power experience Familiarity with 3D modeling and EPC workflows Key Responsibilities Design and size mechanical equipment (pumps, piping, PSV systems) Prepare and review datasheets, specs, and procurement documents Perform hydraulic, pump, and pressure relief calculations Review vendor bids, drawings, and technical documentation Coordinate with procurement and multidisciplinary engineering teams Support construction and commissioning activities and resolve field issues Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, and client standards Required Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering 5–10 years EPC or project engineering experience Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment Experience with datasheets, MTOs, and technical specs Ability to read PFDs, P&IDs, and isometrics Proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, Pipe‑Flo, or Bluebeam #J-18808-Ljbffr Advantage Technical
