Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position in a Level II Trauma ER setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and advanced life support certifications.

Details

• Respiratory therapy unit with Neuro Diagnostics support
• Level II Trauma ER/Trauma Services setting
• Performs bedside bronchoscopy, percutaneous/cricothyrotomy trachs, ECMO, Nitric Oxide, and Veletri administration
• Supports lung transplant patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30-07:00)
• Floating required to other units or facilities within 75 miles as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist required
• Community hospital experience required
• RRT and RCP certification required, with licensure through the Oklahoma Medical Board of Licensure & Supervision (license required if applicable)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Skilled in arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation
• Experience with airway management including intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in candidate's name with matching address (dated within 3 months of start) required for consideration
• Two supervisory references required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill adult patients including ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis cases
• Perform chest physiotherapy, pulmonary hygiene, and sputum specimen collection
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary critical care and trauma team
• Black scrubs required
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
• Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
• Former INTEGRIS employees must have at least 1 year of separation before becoming eligible for travel assignments
• First-time travelers may be considered
